How to Use a DVD Recorder

Basically you:

  1. Put a disc in the machine.
  2. Push the record button.
  3. Burn a DVD.

The new DVD recorders can copy homemade movies and videos from previously recorded tapes:

  1. Connect your VCR to your DVD recorder.
  2. Start the VCR.
  3. Push the Record button on the DVD Recorder.
  4. Burn the DVD.

They also have the built in tuners to record DVDs from television programs. This is a two step process:

  1. Record the TV show to the hard drive on your DVD recorder (just like TiVo).
  2. Burn the TV show onto a DVD+R or DVD-R disk.

Using the hardrive makes it easy to:

  • pause
  • rewind
  • record

live television programming right from your TV.
